Learn The Basics While Building Your Practice

Designed to increase essential mobility, balance and foundational strength. This class features slow stretches and focuses on proper alignment, often with the use of props. Ideal for beginners, participants seeking a more relaxed yoga experience, or for yogi veterans who want to brush up on basic alignment points.

You will become stronger and more flexible, while providing the space to securely move into variations of each posture that meets students at their own individual needs.

Chair Yoga

Suitable For All Practitioners

This gentle yoga class uses the support of a chair for yoga poses and gentle stretches. Participants will learn how to breathe more efficiently and move with mindfulness, while stretching and toning their bodies. Safe for anyone with limited mobility, pregnant women and those with most existing medical conditions.

Level 1 & 2

Suitable For All Practitioners

Integrates asana (postures) and pranayama (breath).  This Hatha based instruction emphasizes mindful awareness in each pose with the emphasis on synchronizing the breath of each posture. The class integrates the use of props to bring physical and mental stability into each pose to empower the practitioner, and bring ease to the senses.

Level 2

For the seasoned practitioner

Recommended for anyone with a strong foundation in their yoga practice, who wishes to enjoy a deeper yoga practice. As always, variations and modifications will be offered.

Himalayan Heat

Warm Hatha Class

This class will focus on endurance, flexibility and strength through moving meditation in a 75-80 degree warm room. You will open and stretch your muscles with slow movement and conscious breath work.

Yang/Yin

Suitable For All Practitioners

A blend of Yang & Yin energy; the first portion of the class will be focused on building heat in the body, and then transitions into the cooling stillness of YIN postures to achieve balance.  We will start with Sun Salutations and standing postures to warm the body (to create heat), followed by  the passive long holds of YIN to target joints, connective tissues, and fascia (the sheet that covers the connective tissue). Great for athletes looking to reduce injury. You are guaranteed to leave feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Rest & Restore

Suitable for practitioners with specific injuries and most existing medical conditions.

Restorative yoga is a deeply healing and relaxing style of yoga. In restorative yoga typically 5 poses are held from 8-10 minutes in order to allow the body to fully absorb the physical and energetic benefits of the asana. In each pose you are fully supported by props (blankets, bolsters, and blocks) to allow you to deeply surrender and let go. The body and mind are quieted and brought into balance. The perfect practice for everyone from athletes with tight muscles to those brand new to the mat and looking to decompress. We can all benefit from just being still as our mind and body reconnect.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is the yoga of awareness. Through the use of kriya, or carefully organized movements, breath, and sound, kundalini yoga facilitates reactions in the brain and body systems that give us access to the infinite creative potential that resides in us all. Move, breathe, and chant your way to greater clarity, vitality and harmony.
